Registration for 2010 Empire State Games
All athletes must qualify to compete in the Games - see Qualifying for rules
Entry Fees: To compete at the finals in Lake Placid each qualified athlete will be required to pay an entry fee to ESG: Open/Scholastic - $10 and Masters - $40. This fee is per sport. If an athlete wishes to compete in two winter games sports (i.e. open biathlon and cross country) the fee assessed would be $20.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
• Finals Registration: All athletes who qualify for the Games in Lake Placid will need to confirm their participation by registering at the ESG online registration site and paying an entry fee. ESG will open online registration by January 5.
Athletes who qualify for their sport and wish to compete at the finals in Lake Placid will need to register and pay the entry fee at the ESG site by Wednesday, February 17, 11pm. On Thursday morning, 2/18, ESG will provide the Sport Chair with the list of those that have registered online, so they may be put on the start list. Those who have qualified but do not register and pay their fee to ESG by 2/17 at 11pm will be removed from the ESG list and will not be permitted to compete at the Games in Lake Placid.

Qualified Athlete Lists and links to online registration will be posted here with instructions in the early part of Feb. Athletes are responsible to check this webpage to see if they have qualified. Qualified Athletes who do not have the ability to register online will need to call the Games office 518-474-8889 by February 9th for registration instructions.
Registration for the XC Skiing Events at the Games is now open. If your name appears on the qualified list you may register online with Empire State games

The XC competition will be held as a two day pursuit race. Freestyle Saturday and Classical Sunday. At the Biathlon Stadium at Mt Van Hoevenberg. Bib Pickup 7:30 am , Start times 9am open, 9:45am Scholastic, 10:30am Master. both days. All Awards on Sunday at 12:30pm
Sunday there will be a Bill Koch Kids Race hosted by NYSEF to follow. Registration 11:00-11:45 am start 12 noon. Classic $5 entry fee. lollypop/J6 0.5km, J5 2km, J4 3km, J3 4km. Cost: $5, non NYSSRA/NENSA members add $5 Contact: Margaret Maher: margm@nysef.org www.nysef.org
